LEANDRO
Hi, I'm Leandro.
I’m a music director, vocal coach, and vocal arranger. Originally from South Africa, I moved to the U.S. at 12 and quickly found my home in music and theatre. Since then, I’ve music-directed shows on ships, in theaters, and across the country. Today, I serve as a Music Supervisor for Norwegian Cruise Line, working with singers and bands to bring world-class performances to life at sea.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, where I studied vocal technique under Dr. John Craig Johnson. Teaching has always been a core part of my work. I’m passionate about helping performers find their voice, not just technically, but truthfully. Whether I’m building vocal arrangements from scratch, running a high-pressure band rehearsal, or coaching a student toward their Broadway callback, I bring equal parts precision and heart to the room.
I love helping singers and musicians do what they do best and feel confident doing it. I care about creating an environment where artists feel safe to grow, take risks, and become the strongest version of themselves. I believe in healthy vocal technique, collaborative spaces, and the magic that happens when a group truly locks in together.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at Walt Disney World (proud DVC member), belting in the car, or on the hunt for the perfect dessert.

Where to start? Leandro Coelho is a powerhouse combination of talent, knowledge, wisdom, and experience. His creativity, organization, excellent keyboard skills, arranging genius, and vocal stylings make him the best of the best Music Directors I've ever known or that you'll ever work with. As a Vocal Coach I give him my highest recommendation. Leandro gets vocal technique. He understands musical theatre singing across genres and has a no-messing-around approach that allows singers to tap into their best, freest, and most dynamic vocalism possible. All of this and he's one of the nicest, most passionate and hilarious guys I've ever known.
